What does SnapVent actually do?+
You take a few photos of something you want to sell. SnapVent writes the listing — title, description, a suggested price and condition — and then, on your computer, fills in Facebook Marketplace's listing form for you, photos included. You check it and press Publish.
Does it post to Facebook for me?+
No, never. The Chrome extension fills the form and stops. You read it over and press Next and Publish yourself. It only runs when you click a listing, and it can't post on its own, in bulk, or in the background.
What happens to my photos?+
They're stored encrypted and used to write your listing. Location data (GPS) is removed before anything is analysed — on your phone before upload, and in your browser on the web. When you delete a listing, its photos are deleted too.
What if it gets something wrong?+
You review everything before it goes anywhere, and you can edit any field. The AI only describes what it can see in your photos — when it isn't sure about something, it says so instead of guessing, and flags details you might want to double-check.
How does it decide the price?+
It suggests a fair second-hand price for the item's visible condition, in your local currency. It's a starting point: you can change it before you list.
Do I need a Facebook account?+
Yes — Marketplace listings are published from your own Facebook account. SnapVent never sees your Facebook password: the extension works inside the browser you're already signed in to, the way an autofill tool does.
Which devices does it work on?+
Take photos with the iPhone or Android app, or upload them in the web app. Filling the Marketplace form uses the SnapVent extension for Google Chrome on your computer.
Which countries does it work in?+
Anywhere Facebook Marketplace runs. Prices are suggested in your currency, and the extension reads the categories and options Facebook shows you, whatever your country.
Is SnapVent part of Facebook?+
No. SnapVent is an independent product and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta. Facebook and Marketplace are Meta's trademarks.
How do I delete my data?+
Delete a listing and its photos go with it. To delete your whole account and everything in it, contact us and we'll do it.
